Great article! Right on point! The game needs to stay fun . . . and the older the kids get, the more they need to WANT to be there. And as you say . . . we need to go back to why they enjoyed the game in the first place. I think youth leagues especially can't forget that the vast majority of their players aren't even going to play high school ball . . . let alone college or beyond. Keep it fun!

Obviously agree with you that when the game gets tough, and it gets tough for everybody at every level, that the best thing to do is to go back to why we started to pllay? It’s such a long journey and a humbling game that it’s easy to forget why you started to play baseball, but those moments are there if we look for them.
